Do you wanna know what the biggest public personalities use to stand out? It’s the same thing Hollywood scriptwriters use to create characters we can’t look away from on screen.

Their contradiction.

Take Post Malone.

When you see him, you expect him to bust out some heavy metal.

But his music is simply angelic.

Mikaela Nogueria - she’s gorgeous, glamorous. Has a very… unexpected accent.

Alex Hormozi has a net-worth of $100 million but dresses exclusively like this:

In the same way, on-screen characters are written with contradictions all the time.

Legally blonde: Looks like a ‘bimbo’. Is a genius.

Breaking bad: is a science teacher, but also a drug dealer:

They all challenge your assumptions, and that is what makes them stand out.

Maybe people assume that because you’re 50, you don’t ‘get’ TikTok. You’re from a small town, so you’re not cut-out for corporate life. You’re young so you’re not a business owner. You’re shy so you won’t be a good public speaker.

Whatever it is that people assume about you?

Good. Use it.

Lean into it.

Because your contradiction is what makes you stand out.
